Cumberland Crackdown New Year’s Eve 2019

Don’t drop the ball as you wait for the ball to drop this New Year’s Eve. Find a sober driver.

That’s the word from the Tennessee Highway Safety Office which has partnered with all area law enforcement agencies for Cumberland Crackdown, an effort to curb crashes in the Cumberland Region this New Year’s Eve.

There will be special saturation patrols along with checkpoints throughout the Cumberland Region in areas where crashes have occurred in the past.

When you come upon a checkpoint, please slow down and drive with extreme caution. Use your low beams. The goal of Cumberland Crackdown is to encourage motorists to safely ring in the year 2020.

Other Checkpoints in neighboring counties include:
12/31/2019 Overton Old Highway 42 @ Highway 293 Sobriety
12/31/2019 Putnam SR 56 @ 0.1 miles North of DeKalb County Line Sobriety
