The Crossville Police and Fire Departments are indefinitely operating by appointment only.
Deputy Fire Chief Chris South said both departments made the decision to prevent personnel shortages from COVID exposures.
“We worked with the city manager both the police chief and the fire chief.” South said. “And made that decision to go ahead and protect our citizens and also our personnel of both the departments.”
South said appointments for burn permits or fire reports can be made by calling (931)-484-6144. The Police Department’s drive thru window remains open for fine and ticket payments with appointments made at (931)-484-7231. South said to expect normal COVID precautions when arriving at your scheduled time.
Everyone is also encouraged to utilize the drive thru window or online services for Crossville’s City Hall offices rather than coming in.
The window is open Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The night drop is located near by.
