Crossville City Manager Receives Fair Scores In Annual Report

Crossville City Manager Greg Wood received a 3.83 out of five on his annual review by the mayor and city council.

Mayor RJ Crawford said in the report that Wood needs to improve on his interactions with the community, work better with Cumberland County and stay within his responsibilities described by the city charter.

Specifically, Crawford suggested for Wood to better utilize city resources and guidance from the city attorney. Crawford said in the report that Woods handling of the Village Inn that resulted in a controversy could have been avoided.

Crawford also spoke highly on Wood’s capabilities in budgeting. Councilman Ron Harrison gave Wood high grades with how he treats city employees. Councilman Ron Gernt indicated high scores in Wood’s supervision of employees.
