CRMC Hits New Pandemic High, COVID Numbers High

COVID positivity rates continue to be well above CDC guidelines across the Upper Cumberland.

The State Department of Health reported 34 new cases in Overton County with a positivity rate of 27 percent. That number is inline with the 20 percent positivity rate over the last seven days. Fentress County reported 29 new cases Thursday with a positivity rate of 23 percent.

Putnam County reported 42 new cases Thursday. Cumberland County data showed 30 new cases. Warren County reports 19 new cases while White County has 13 positive cases Thursday.

Cookeville Regional is currently treating 40 patients with COVID-19, its highest number since the pandemic began.

The CDC wants the positivity rate below five percent.
