CRMC Celebrating National Hospital Week With Employee Appreciation

Cookeville Regional Medical Center is closing out its week-long celebration for National Hospital Week.

Interim CEO Buffy Key said they have spent the week celebrating employees and eating meals together. She said they had special luncheons celebrating long-term employees.

“We’re just trying to reinvest and celebrate our employees and all of the hard work they do every day,” Key said.”And giving back not only to our patients and physicians and our coworkers but each other.”

Key said this emphasis on celebrating one another has received positive feedback from employees. She said after spending so much time isolating and being separated during COVID, the camaraderie is a welcome change.

Key said the hospital will continue this momentum of reinvesting in its employees even as National Hospital Week comes to an end.

“I sent a video to the staff earlier this week thanking them for all their hard work during the extraordinary times with the pandemic and just thanking them,” Key said. “And on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the administration, we’re so happy to be working with this team. And we couldn’t ask for a better group of people.”
