Cookeville-Putnam Chamber Reaches 1,000 Members

The Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce recently achieved a milestone by welcoming its 1,000th member.

Dianne Callahan is the Vice President of Organizational Development for the Chamber.

“There is power in numbers,” Callahan said. “Chamber members are encouraged to do business with chamber members. So it’s going to increase everyone’s business. There’s relationship building and everything. It just takes it to another level.”

The Chamber first eclipsed the 1,000 member mark on Aug. 31 with the addition of Dunn’s Car Care and Tire Center in Cookeville.

Callahan said reaching the Chamber’s goal of 1,000 members indicates they’re working at a higher level.

“This year we did that, and last year, we became accredited at four-stars, meaning that we’re working at a standard of excellence we’ve never, ever done before,” Callahan said.

Realtor Sabrina Brazle became the Chamber’s most recent member on Oct. 5. The Chamber set a goal in April to add 300 new members in an attempt to surpass the 1,000 member mark.
