Clarksville Woman Charged After Pursuit Ends In Mt. Juliet

A Clarksville woman allegedly drove from Putnam County to Mt. Juliet while fleeing from the Tennessee Highway Patrol Sunday.

47-year-old Wanda Renee White faces a number of charges including felony evading arrest, felony reckless endangerment, and DUI.

THP officials said the incident began when a State Trooper attempted to stop a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe for following too close on Interstate 40. A THP incident report said White failed to stop and continued westbound at a high rate of speed. The vehicle finally came to a stop after becoming incapacitated at mile marker 226 in the Nashville District.

White faces an additional charge of unlawful possession of a weapon after troopers found a loaded 12 gauge shotgun inside the vehicle.

Authorities transported White to the Putnam County Jail. She remains behind bars on $10,000 bond.
