Celebrate July 4th With Red, White, And Boom 2020

In a year where our community has dealt with unimaginable hardships, it is important to come together and celebrate our nation’s independence.

News Talk 94.1/AM 1600 is proud to join with the City of Cookeville and Putnam County for Red, White And Boom Saturday July 4th. Take a moment to enjoy fireworks with the family in honor of the brave heroes that have served during the tornado and COVID-19.

It begins Saturday July 4th with a LIVE VIRTUAL CONCERT featuring our own Jake Hoot! The winner of “The Voice” returns to his hometown to help us celebrate. His special guests include Tennessee Songwriters’ Week Finalists The Smoky Nights, and Atlanta-based Americana Artist of the Year Alex Guthrie.

The live concert will air live on Lite Rock 95.9, Rock 93-7, News Talk 94.1, and 106-9 Kicks Country from 6-9pm, presented by Ford Lincoln of Cookeville. It will also be streamed live online.

Then, the sky explodes with a huge fireworks show featuring one of the state’s biggest launches. And it’s choreographed to music that you can hear live right here. You can watch from the Putnam County Fairgrounds with social distancing measures in place. A limited number of cars will be allowed in the fairgrounds and foot traffic will be prohibited.

You can also choose to watch from other locations across the community. Preferred viewing partners who have graciously provided their parking lots to allow social distancing will be announced the week prior to the fourth.

We look forward to bringing other events back as part of our Fourth of July celebration next year when COVID-19 is behind us.

Celebrate America’s Birthday…as we pay tribute to the heroes of our community. It’s Red, White and Boom 2020 from Putnam County Government, the City Of Cookeville, and News Talk 94.1/AM 1600.
