Weather Service Forecasters Will Visit Monday

Because of impassable roads from Warren County to Cumberland County, National Weather Service meteorologists will not visit Sunday to survey damage. Forecasters will assess the damage from Sunday morning’s storms. Much of the damage will likely be from straight-line winds. Power Crews Making Progress

Volunteer Energy crews have made progress since sunrise restoring power across the Upper Cumberland. As of 9:00am Sunday, 13,124 homes remain without power. Power outages reported across the Upper Cumberland after strong storms passed through early Sunday morning. Some 6,000 customers of Volunteer Energy across Cumberland County were without power just after 3am. That number increased to about 7,000 by 3:45am. Comptroller: 3 Deficiencies With White Co Sheriffs Dept

The Tennessee Comptroller’s Office found three deficiencies within the White County Sheriff’s Office as it relates to personnel policies. Overton County reported its second COVID-19 case Saturday as the Upper Cumberland case total grew to 30 cases.
