Minor Power Outages Reported Sunday Afternoon

Strong winds that began just after 4:00pm Sunday afternoon produced some scattered power issues across the Upper Cumberland. Volunteer Energy reports a growing number of outages in Fentress County near Jamestown. The number increased to over 400 around 6:40pm Sunday. Cumberland Co Cases Increase To 40; Dekalb To 9

Cumberland County’s number of positive COVID-19 cases increased to 40 Saturday while Dekalb County’s number went to nine. The Tennessee Department of Health reported Saturday the number of deaths from the virus topped 100 statewide, with 101 people dying from COVID-19. Crossville Man Arrested For Threatening Nurses

A Crossville man faces charges of disorderly conduct after threatening to run his car through the Cumberland Medical Center lobby. Crossville Police arrested 49-year-old Michael Ray Davis Thursday morning. Upon arrival at the hospital, police found Davis yelling obscenities at nurses. The Celina K-8 School has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after a school employee tested positive for COVID-19 late last month.
