$29.6M Cookeville Budget Up For Vote Thursday

Cookeville City Council will vote on a $29.6 million budget Thursday night. Cookeville Finance Director Brenda Imel said the overall budget shows a deficit, but that number includes capital expenditures. The total budget shows a $536,000 deficit. A former Putnam County minister pled guilty Monday to two felonies involving the sexual exploitation of a minor. Phillip Carlen Loftis will be placed on the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry for at least ten years.
