Body Of Overton Kayaker Recovered From Dale Hollow Lake

TWRA and other emergency responders recovered the body of a missing kayaker from Dale Hollow Lake Sunday.

31-year-old Benjamin Thomen was first reported missing Saturday night by his fellow campers. He was last seen when he paddled to Willow Grove Marina for supplies.

Thomen’s kayak was found Sunday morning. Around 5 p.m., emergency officials located his body near Big Goat Island.

TWRA, Clay County EMA, Clay County Sheriff’s Department, THP, and TEMA partnered for the search operation.
