Bethel Thrift Opens Second Location On Interstate Drive

Overabundance has led Bethel Thrift to open a second location in Cookeville.

Traci Burdette said the thrift stores embody community giving to community. The stores themselves provide gently used items at reasonable prices. Behind those storefronts, generous donations and customers have allowed Bethel to give back over $120,000 to local charities in the past year.

“The new store will also be serving the community through the program there called Food to the Rescue,” Burdette said. “They pack up lunches and distribute them during the summertime when there is not food available for them at school.”

Burdette’s husband Matthew and son David complete the management team at Bethel Thrift.  Burdette said Matthew is all about the increase because those increases allow them to give more to the community.

“We are thankful to be able to provide jobs to the local community and we’ve been able to help employees with things that they’ve needed,” Burdette said.

Burdett said the new location at 1470 Interstate Drive is open. However, the official Grand Opening will be held Saturday, April 8th.
