Baxter NAPA, Shell Station Opening Soon

The City of Baxter expects to see the new NAPA Auto Parts Store opening this month.

Codes Officer Bob Lane said the owners delayed the project due to unforeseen events.

“I was told the other day by the owner that they would probably be opening the store this month. They are hoping to open in January,” Lane said. “He got into some ordeals and had to put this on the backburner, but I understand that they are going to try to open the store in January.”

In July of 2017, the owners of the Cookeville NAPA store announced they purchased the property on Fast Lane for building a NAPA in Baxter.  The city turned the electricity on for the building in September.

Baxter also hopes to have the Shell Station open in the coming months.

“The Shell Station that is under construction, the Minute Mart there by the side of Speedway,” Lane said. “They, of course, have all the pumps and everything in. They have not opened yet, they are still probably two months away.”

The Shell Station will feature a Papa Johns when it opens across from the Speedway.
