New U.S. Attorney For Middle District

There’s a new U.S. Attorney in Nashville. Attorney General Jeff Sessions appointed Mark H. Wildasin to serve as the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee. Sparta Police Provide Traffic Control For Fair

Sparta Police Chief Jeff Guth said will provide traffic control on Spring Street during school pickup and drop-off this week. Findlay Elementary is located behind the White County Fairgrounds. Sparta Woman Arrested In Indiana

A Sparta woman was arrested late last week in Lawrence, Ind. Anissa DeGroat, 45, faces charges of forgery, theft and fleeing law enforcement. According to local media, DeGroat and Kelsey Oliver, 19, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., attempted to cash a stolen check at a local credit union. Staff refused to cash the check. Senior Expo Planned For October

This year’s Senior Expo will include a car show. Each year, the Senior Expo attracts hundreds of seniors and caregivers from all fourteen counties in the Upper Cumberland region, with optional transportation being coordinated at each county’s senior center. Eastbound Ramps Should Open After Holiday

In spite of a construction delay, the new I-40 interchange is progressing. TDOT spokesman Jennifer Flynn said project completion was pushed back to April after the contractor asked for a delay.
