Teen Dies In Friday Pickett County Crash

A Pickett County crash took the life of a Byrdstown teen Friday. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the 17-year-old male was driving westbound on Pendergrass Mountain Road when the accident occurred. Sparta to Participate in Safety Equipment Grant

The Sparta City Council will participate in a grant program to provide additional funding for safety equipment. The “Safety Partners” grant would give the city $15,000 through Public Entity Partners. A Livingston man suffered injuries Wednesday during a motorcycle crash in Overton County. The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports 53-year-old Roy Ogletree was traveling on Upper Hilham Road when the accident occurred.
