Man Shot And Killed In Liberty Thursday Night

DeKalb County authorities have arrested a man for a Halloween night shooting that left one man dead. Albert Wayne Fisher Jr. faces a charge of second degree murder in the shooting death of Tyler Durden. Putnam County Deputy Seriously Injured In Crash

A Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputy suffered severe injuries during a Thursday afternoon traffic crash in Cookeville. The sheriff’s office said Deputy Chris Lynn is receiving treatment at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He’s listed in critical condition at this time. The Clay County Anti-Drug Coalition received $125,000 from the federal government earlier this week. Vacant Trailer Stripped Of Cabinets, Sinks, And Wiring

Cumberland County authorities found a vacant trailer earlier this month stripped of cabinets, sinks, light fixtures and other items. The burglary happened on Racoon Drive in the Windridge Subdivision. Investigators say the thieves also stripped out the wiring from inside the structure. Knoxville-based SmartFinancial Inc. has agreed to buy Progressive Financial Group. The $41.4 million acquisition will move SmartFinancial into Middle Tennessee. A Cookeville woman suffered injuries during a single-vehicle crash in Putnam County Thursday morning. The accident happened on Interstate 40 westbound at the 295 mile marker.
