Man Charged With Reckless Homicide To Undergo Mental Evaluation

Saturday Morning Fire In Crossville Ruled As Arson

A Saturday morning fire in Crossville was ruled an arson by the Crossville Fire Department. Officials said fire crews responded to A&B Body Shop and found two origination points for the flames. A total of eight vehicles suffered damage during the fire along with a nearby apartment complex. Authorities have not listed any suspects and the incident remains under investigation. Read More »

Woman Charged With Vehicular Homicide Surrenders Bond

A Cumberland County woman charged with vehicular homicide has decided to surrender her bond and be placed back in custody. 36-year-old Meghan Wilson made the decision after a judge found sufficient evidence to send the case to a September grand jury session. Putnam Co. Commission Cuts Funding For Cookeville Senior Center

The Putnam County Commission voted to cut funding from the Cookeville Senior Center last night. Commissioner Chris Savage made a motion to reduce the county’s contribution to the Cookeville Senior Center by $10,000. The trial for a Clay County man charged with attempted murder and arson got underway today. Cumberland Co. Commission Votes To Purchase Railroad Property

The Cumberland County Commission voted Monday to purchase property owned by the Norfolk Southern Railroad. The property is currently occupied by the Art Circle Library. Pedestrian Struck In DeKalb Co. Monday Night

A 38-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a pickup truck in DeKalb County Monday night. A medical helicopter airlifted Jamie Carroll following the incident that took place on Highway 56.
