Warren Co Graduation Set For June 12

Warren County High School will hold its senior graduation June 12 at 7pm. The outdoor ceremony will be held at the football stadium. Four guests per graduate will allowed. There will be no processional this year because of COVID-19 restrictions. None Injured In 4-Vehicle I-40 Crash

A four-vehicle workzone accident Monday morning on Interstate 40 resulted in no injuries. The accident occurred near the 287 mile marker as crews had rolling road blocks in effect, making pothole repairs. Three vehicles were stopped in the left lane. Crossville City Court To Reopen

Crossville City Court will begin again May 19 with temporary procedures designed for social distancing. City Court will be held through the Police Department’s drive-thru window. Pickett Co Reports First COVID Case

Pickett County reported its first case of COVID-19 with Sunday’s data release. That brings the Upper Cumberland total to 446 cases. Pickett had been one of just two counties statewide absent a positive case. 10 Upper Cumberland residents have died from COVID-19. Statewide, 243 people have died. The Tennessee Tech class of 2020 will join together for spring commencement Saturday August 8. Three ceremonies will be held to allow for social distancing. Swallows The Pick For Warren Co Director

The Warren County Schools will offer White County High School principal Grant Swallows the position of director of schools. School board members held two rounds of voting Thursday night with Swallows receiving the most votes in each tally. The two sides must still agree on a contract. Former Jamestown Officer Indicted On Rape

A former Jamestown Police Officer has been indicted on charges of official misconduct and statutory rape. Brandon Troy Adams faces three counts of statutory rape by an Authority Figure, three counts of Aggravated Statutory Rape, and one count of Official Misconduct. Putnam Moving Graduation To Tech

After hearing feedback from parents and again asking for help from Tennessee Tech, the Putnam County Schools will hold all three high school graduations at Tucker Stadium. The Putnam County School Board approved the first draft of a new budget that will use some $1.1 million from the system’s fund balance.
