Former Warren Co. Sheriff’s Investigator Indicted For Official Misconduct

A now-former investigator with the Warren County Sheriff’s Department has been indicted following an investigation by the Tennesse Bureau of Investigation. The TBI began its investigation following complaints of potential official misconduct by 39-year-old Steven Allen Carpenter. Carpenter turned himself into Warren County authorities Thursday. Baxter officials have issued a certificate of occupancy (CO) for Portobello America, allowing them to test equipment in the building. White County Regional Planning Commission approved a preliminary plat allowing for an estimated 24-lot development off of Duck Pond Road.
