Ansei America To Expand In Jackson County

An automotive parts company plans to expand its operation in Jackson County.

County Mayor Randy Heady said Ansei America will be increasing the size of its Highway 53 location by more than a third.

“They are out of room. They have got to have some expansion space for inventory and for some new injection molding machines,” Heady said. “It’s a great problem to have. To be out of room and needing expansion.”

Heady said Ansei also plans to increase their labor force by 10 to 20 over the next five years.

“Actually, they’ve been hiring lately. The problem is finding a skilled workforce,” Heady said.

The Jackson County Industrial Development Board will meet Tuesday night to open sealed bids for the expansion project.

“Hopefully they will award that bid next Tuesday,” Heady said.

Ansei America produces front door, rear door, and trunk lid latch assemblies as well as other door strikers.
