Putnam County School System is the first around the Upper Cumberland prepping to start the new school year.
Putnam County held its registration Friday with an early dismissal. It begins its school year earlier than any other county in the Upper Cumberland with the first full day of classes set for Tuesday, August 1.
The other counties begin their years in the order they are listed below.
Overton County will hold a half day for registration on Wednesday, August 2, and begin classes on Friday, August 4.
Jackson County will hold a half day for registration on Tuesday, August 1, and begin classes on Friday, August 4.
Clay County will hold a half day for registration on Tuesday, August 2, and begin classes Monday, August 7.
Cumberland County will hold a half day for registration on Thursday, August 3, and begin classes on Monday, August 7.
Pickett County will hold a half day for registration on Monday, July 31, and begin classes on Monday, August 7.
Smith County will hold a half day for registration on Thursday, August 3, and begin classes on Monday, August 7.
Van Buren County will hold a half day for registration on Wednesday, August 2, and begin classes on Tuesday, August 8.
Warren County will hold a half day for registration on Friday, August 4, and begin classes on Tuesday, August 8.
