Late Friday morning, the general manager of the Dollar General store on Highway 127 in Rinnie reported that during business hours between October 6 and 7, multiple persons stole in excess of $10,000 in merchandise from the store.

According to the incident report filed with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department, an employee provided a written statement in which she admitted agreeing to let another individual remove the merchandise for $400.

The general manager provided video footage supporting the claim, showing multiple subjects removing items in several shopping carts on the dates in question.
