White County Students In School On Eclipse Day

White County students will be in school on eclipse day.

Federal Programs Supervisor Sheila Felton said teachers are sharing ideas countywide. Each school and each grade level will have its own ways of teaching kids about the event. Tennessee Tech’s Oakley STEM Center is providing viewing glasses for the students, Felton said.

Felton said district officials had discussed the idea of cancelling classes that day but ultimately decided against it. White County Schools’ calendar for the upcoming school year was decided last fall.
