WCSD Hiring 10 New Correctional Officers

The White County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a few good officers.

The sheriff’s department posted an ad for 10 correctional officers on its Facebook page Wednesday afternoon.

The new officers are part of a settlement between Sheriff Oddie Shoupe and the White County Commission.

County Executive Denny Wayne Robinson said the county is now waiting on the state’s recommendations to improve White County’s overcrowded jail.
