No injuries occurred after a tractor trailer caught fire in Putnam County Monday morning.
The Putnam County Fire Department responded to Interstate 40 eastbound at mile marker 297. Upon arrival, crews found the cab of the semi fully involved.
Firemen managed to gain control of the blaze within 10 minutes, but crews remained on scene for about an hour to take care of hot spots and clean up.
Emergency personnel shut down the interstate for a brief period of time.
