Tech Board Approves Free Speech Policy

The Tennessee Tech Board of Trustees approved a measure outlining free speech on campus during its meeting Thursday.

The measure passed without comment.

The policy is in response to The Campus Free Speech Protection Act, a law passed in the state legislature and signed by Gov. Bill Haslam earlier this year.

The law requires the state’s public universities to adopt the policy ensuring free speech on campus.
