RAM Clinic Underway At Cookeville High

Those in need of care began lining up in the late hours of Friday night at Cookeville High School.

The Putnam County Remote Area Medical Clinic will work this weekend to provide patients with free medical, dental, and vision care.

“I feel like it just really creates some positivity in the community,” Putnam County RAM CHG Leader Madison Dunn said. “With helping so many people and kind of giving our patients a confidence boost and encouraging them to go out and kind of do things now that they feel better.”

Dunn said the RAM clinic has around 500 volunteers for this year’s clinic.

“For the most part the clinic is the same, we are trying to make it a little bigger this year,” Dunn said. “We are aiming to see more patients. We’ve seen 865 over the past two years so we are shooting for closer to 900 or so.”

The clinic takes place at Cookeville High School.
