Indictment Handed Down To Man Who Fatally Stabbed Police K-9

A Cumberland County grand jury handed down indictments Monday to a man who fatally stabbed a Crossville Police K-9 back in August.

The indictments charge 28-year-old Dustin Lee Dixon with intentionally killing a service animal, theft over $10,000, aggravated assault and DUI.

Police said Dixon fled during a traffic stop and fatally stabbed the K-9 officer during a foot pursuit.
