Court Date Set For Man Who Allegedly Killed Police K-9

A Lebanon Judge has set a May 30th trial date for a Cumberland County man facing numerous charges including killing a Crossville Police K-9 back in August.

The trial for 28-year-old Dustin Lee Dixon will take place in Lebanon because two Upper Cumberland judges recused themselves from the case.

Dixon stands accused of leading police on a vehicle pursuit that ended near the Obed River Bridge. Authorities said he fled on foot and fatally stabbed the police K-9 before he was apprehended.

Dixon remains behind bars under $246,000 bond.
