There’s a new way for visitors to find information on Cookeville.

The Cookeville Putnam County Chamber of Commerce launched the new visitcookevilletn.com a new tourism website.

Chamber VP of Visitor Development Zach Ledbetter said the website has been in the works for awhile.

“We’ve been working on this for quite some time, we’ve had ideas and started building the frame and gathering content and it’s been a labor of love no doubt but so very excited,” Ledbetter said.

The website includes a host of features, including a community calendar and a proximity finder. Basically, if your phone’s location settings are on, the website will give you the nearest restaurant, hotel or store.

“This will be very important to our marketing, especially as far as the visitors bureau is concerned,” Ledbetter said.

The website went live earlier this month.
