Clay County Library Receives Computer Training Grant

The state awarded the Clay County Public Library with a $2,441 literacy and broadband adoption grant today.

Library Director Judith Cutright said the funding will be used for important computer training for the citizens of Clay County.

“Computer change so much from year to year that computer literacy is very necessary, not matter where you’re at,” Cutright said. “Here in Clay County, there aren’t many people that have computers at home and there is so much that has to be done on computers nowadays.

The first computer training class will take place in March at the library. The Millard Oakley Library in Livingston also received the literacy and broadband adoption grant.

The funding made possible by Governor Bill Haslam’s Broadband Accessibility Act
